Mount Washington voters to consider $673K budget


MOUNT WASHINGTON — This year's annual town meeting, slated for 7 p.m. Monday at the Town Hall, will present a total municipal budget of $673,233 for voter consideration.

The fiscal 2017 budget represents an increase of $31,471 over the current spending plan.

The largest line item is the town's school budget of $194,048, up $51,136.

The largest capital expense next year is a new dump truck. But voters will be asked to transfer from available funds a total of $202,155 and raise only $17,884 to pay for it.
