Julie Shea & Sonya
This duo has recently come together to play music in the Bennington area. Julie Shea plays acoustic guitar, incorporating finger picking and strumming to accompany her vocals. Sonya Keough plays a cajon drum, bongos and various other percussion instruments. With her background in world fusion drumming she lends a flair to the duo. They enjoy adding their style to rock, blues and other music genres.
Funk in the Trunk
Now in their third year together, Funk in the Trunk remains popular with a mix of funk, soul, R&B and Motown classics. Nicki Skipper on keyboards and vocals joins John Carson on guitar, Joe Wiley on bass, Adam Turner on drums, Linda Allard on vocals, Kiah Morris on vocals, Kim Turner on vocals, Jake Hill on tenor sax, Bill Tock on trumpet and David Vincent on alto sax.
2014 Blues Hall Of Fame Blues inductees, New-England-based Blues Sanctuary plays styles from old school Chicago to contemporary blues. Rick Burgess performs on vocals, guitar and harp with Bruce Mariani on bass and vocals, Joe Candal on keyboards and vocals, Ken Pallman on drums and vocals, and John O'Rourke on guitar.
Jeff McRae Band
Jeff McRae drums with a variety of jazz, folk and R&B groups in southern Vermont, the Berkshires and in New York. The line-up for this year's band includes Dave Cuite on bass, Darryl Kniffen on keys, Leah Carroll on vocals, Dave Banulis on guitar and Jeff McRae on drums.
Hill Hollow Band
The Hill Hollow Band plays acoustic rock, bluegrass, and other variants of Americana. The current lineup has been together seven years -- Wayne Lane, Marty Satalino, Nora Riccardi, Barry Hyman, Chris Lane, Josh Greenberg, Jeff Dooley, Terry Lamphere and Rocko Rosenblatt -- and the core of the band has been playing together for decades. They bring folk-rock on fiddle, sax, banjo, pedal steel, acoustic guitar, flute, mandolin, percussion, dobro, electric bass, acoustic guitar, accordion and eight singers.
Ray Gifford, also Known as The Uncle Grizz, writes and performs original songs on guitar and covers James Taylor, Van Morrison, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot, Bill withers, Otis Redding, and much more country and rock music.
Formerly the Netherwood Blues Band, Roadhouse consists of Jim Hargett on guitar, Lester Figarsky on bass, Bill Sarchino on drums, Brian Lesard on trumpet, George Kurtz on sax, Bob Cohe on keyboard, Freddie Booker on trombone and Jim Evans on guitar.
A love for classic rock-n-roll music brings together four musicians to peform classic rock-n-roll, country and southern rock music. Guitarist Carl Christensen has played throughout New England. Cindy Baxter has appeared in several rock bands and also plays in an acoustic duo on vocals, congas and tambourine. Mary Brott on drums and vocals has played professionally since 2004. John Carson has performed from New York to Canada to West Virginia covering pop, disco, funk, country, bluegrass and classic rock.
