Nancy Wolf to retire from Darrow School next year
NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- As Darrow School continues to celebrate its 80th anniversary, it will also celebrate the culmination of the career of Nancy Wolf, its current head of school, who recently announced her plans for retirement at the end of the next school year.
She announced her plans to faculty and staff, and will share the news publicly during Reunion Weekend this Saturday.
According to a press release issued Thursday, Wolf told the Darrow Board of Trustees at their May meeting of her decision to retire at the end of the 2012-13 school year.
Wolf began her career at Darrow as a math teacher in the 1970s and returned in 2001 to become its head.
In the coming weeks and months, Darrow will take many opportunities to reflect on Wolf's contributions to the school and community.
The school reports that more information about the search for her replacement and the school's efforts during this transition with be share in coming months.
