Neal will push to close loopholes

Monday September 3, 2012

Whether it’s Mitt Romney hiding his personal profits in secret bank accounts, or major corporations doing the same thing, I find it reprehensible. These people are takers, contributing little to the country that made them rich.

That’s one of the reasons why I support Rep. Richie Neal for Congress. For years, he’s sponsored a bill to close tax loopholes that allow foreign insurance companies to shift their U.S. profits to offshore havens to avoid paying taxes. What’s more, they gain a competitive edge over American insurance companies in the process.

I say, "Go get ‘em Richie." It’s time for Romney and all corporations to pay their fair share.
