New Lebanon, N.Y.: Church to offer program on anxiety and depression

Posted

The Rev. Tom Konopka will lead a discussion about anxiety and depression from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at New Lebanon Parish, 732 U.S. Route 20.

Konopka is a priest with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, a licensed social worker, and the director of the diocesan Consultations Center.

Depression is often accompanied by too much or too little sleep, lack of energy, or pulling away from friends and family. Anxiety may involve unnecessary worry about things beyond our control, or becoming pre-occupied with "bad things" that may never happen.

There is no charge for the program. All are welcome.

Information: Mary Linton, RN, at (518) 733-0469.
