The Seniors’ Ministry of Immaculate Conception/St. Joseph Parish is sponsoring a bus trip on Friday, Sept. 28, to the home and shrine of Blessed Kateri Tekawitha, in Fonda and Auriesville.

Blessed Kateri, who will be canonized in October, is the first Native American to be named a saint of the Catholic Church. The Rev. John Close will celebrate the Eucharist at the Fonda Shrine for all who wish to attend.

The bus will leave Immaculate Conception Church, 732 Route 20, at 8:30 a.m. and will return by approximately 5 p.m.

The cost, including lunch and driver’s tip, is $20 for those who are not members of Immaculate Conception/St. Joseph Parish.

All are welcome. Reservations must be made by Sept. 14 with Georgette Tefoe, at (518) 794-0156.
