New Marlborough: Discussion between award-winning authors


The New Marlborough Village Association's Music and More series concludes with "Award-Winning Authors," a discussion between host Simon Winchester and guest Nicholson Baker, at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Historic Meeting House, Route 57.

A wine and cheese reception with the writers will follow in the Meeting House Gallery.

Winchester, a British author and journalist who resides in Sandisfield, covered numerous significant events, including Bloody Sunday and the Watergate Scandal, through his career at The Guardian.

Baker received a National Book Critics Circle Award in 2001 for his nonfiction book "Double Fold: Libraries and the Assault on Paper," and the International Hermann Hesse Prize in 2014.
