North Adams: Adult Basic Education Program offers free classes


Enrollment is beginning at the Northern Berkshire Adult Basic Education Program.

High School Equivalency Exam (GED) preparation and Pre-College Skills, English for Speakers of Other Languages and Basic Skills classes are offered.

New programs include Career Pathways, building success skills for college and career, and Distance Learning offering online preparation for the GED and pre-college skills.

Day and evening classes begin the week of Sept. 8 and are held at three locations in North Berkshire: Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts’ Freel Library; C.T. Plunkett School in Adams; and Milne Public Library in Williamstown.

All classes, books and materials are free for enrolled students.
