North Adams: Artist collective opens new doors

Common Folk, North Adams' homegrown artist collective and forerunning creative group, debuts the exhibition "Brick & Mortar/Flesh & Blood" at its new location at 33 Main St.

The exhibit opening is part of the larger Down Street Art kickoff celebration, an annual arts event for the city. The exhibit is on display from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 30.

New England rock band "Cactus Attack" will be performing at 8 p.m. This portion of the evening is for ticketholders only. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.artful.ly/store/events/9419.

A grassroots folk jam will close out the night. Community members are encouraged to bring instruments so they can participate.

The jam is open to all those who make a donation to the organization. Ticketholders for Cactus Attack may attend for free.
