North Adams: Astronomy series to feature the history of Mars
The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will present an illustrated lecture, "Red Alert! A History of Mars," at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, as part of its Astronomy Month Series.
The program will also feature a special 50th anniversary of the infamous Mars Attacks series trading cards that were pulled from shelves because of a nationwide protest from parents.
Western Gateway Heritage State Park is located south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building #4. Information: (413) 663-6312.
