North Adams: Daylight Savings topic of talk
NORTH ADAMS -- The Department of Conservation & Recreation's Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will offer an illustrated lecture, "Sunny Side Up...A History of Daylight Savings Time," on Saturday, March 9, at 3 p.m.
It is time to "spring ahead!" The long-awaited return to more sun and warmer temperatures is heralded each year by Daylight Savings Time. This illustrated lecture will investigate the origins of this idea and the complications involved in getting it accepted.
Western Gateway Heritage State Park is south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building #4. Information: 413-663-6312.
