North Adams: Drury STEPS program seeks service-learning projects

The Drury High School STEPS program hopes to broaden the scope of its community connections and is seeking STEM based projects that could benefit from the program this summer.

Any community member, group, or organization may apply. This year, the program will run from July 7 to 25.

The Drury High School STEPS Program for underclassmen is aimed at providing essential skills through Service-Learning and content work in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) areas.

The students will be responsible for selecting which projects become part of the summer curriculum based on interest and an assessment of their ability to address the needs of the project.

Parties that are interested in more information or applying for assistance with a project should contact the program’s lead teacher, Sara J. Luczynski, by email at or by telephone at Drury High School, (413) 662-3240.

The submission period for applications will be open until Wednesday, June 11.
