North Adams: Father daughter dance raises $4,477

The 20th annual Father and Daughter Dance held Feb. 16 at the Eagles Hall raised $4,477 for local charities. Close to 350 fathers and daughters attended this year’s event.

A fund for a new playground at C.T. Plunkett School in Adams will receive $3,477, and $1,000 will go to the Berkshire County Adoptive Families Support Group.

Organizations benefiting children wishing to receive funds from future Father and Daughter dances may contact organizers via their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/FDDnorthberkshire.

Beneficiaries will be selected from the applications received.

The event has raised over $46,000 for local charities in the past 20 years.
