North Adams: Futurist to deliver MCLA public policy lecture

Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will present renowned inventor, author and futurist Ray Kurzweil as the featured speaker for this fall's Michael S. and Kitty Dukakis Public Policy Lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the MCLA Church Street Center's Eleanor Furst Roberts Auditorium.

His lecture, "Science, Technology, and Invention: Strategies to Create the Future," is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.

Called "the restless genius" by the Wall Street Journal, and "the ultimate thinking machine" by Forbes, Kurzweil's ideas on the future have been touted by his many fans, ranging from Bill Gates to Bill Clinton.
