North Adams: Green Drinks to hear talk on saving energy

North Adams Green Drinks, a gathering of people interested in conservation and environmental issues, will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Freight Yard Pub, Western Gateway Heritage Park.

At 6:30 p.m., there will be a presentation, "Insulate and Weatherize," by local author Bruce Harley. He will talk on home energy fixes, with time for questions and book signing.

Harley, technical director of the national non-profit Conservation Services Group, has more than 22 years of experience in the field of energy conservation. Copies of his 2008 book, "Cut Your Energy Bills Now," will be available for purchase.
