North Adams: Hebrew School hosts Purim celebration


Congregation Beth Israel's Community Hebrew School, located at 53 Lois St., will host a free, public workshop and open house to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13.

The festive day involves costumes and a story filled with strong women bringing justice to the land. Anna Sobel and Talking Hands Puppetry will introduce the Purim characters.

Bagels and a puppet-making session will follow the show.
