North Adams: Holiday songs, carols topic of talk


The Department of Conservation & Recreation's Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will offer an illustrated lecture, "Wassail! A History of Songs and Carols of Christmas," at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15.

This illustrated lecture will explore the hidden stories behind many of the Christmas songs and carols from the Middle Ages throughout contemporary times.

Western Gateway Heritage State Park is south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building #4. Information: (413) 663-6312.
