The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will offer an illustrated lecture, "Indian Summer A History," at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, as part of Native American Heritage Month.

The seasonal myths of Indian Summer are wrapped up in bits of Native American history, weather science and folklore. This illustrated lecture will try to unravel them all to find the roots of this whimsical time of year.

Western Gateway Heritage State Park is located south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building #4.

Information: (413) 663-6312.
