North Adams: Illustrated lecture on polar explorer


The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will present an illustrated lecture, "Beyond Endurance," at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18.

This illustrated story will retell Ernest Shackleton’s attempt of the crossing of the Antarctic continent via the South Pole in 1914-17.

Western Gateway Heritage State Park is located south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building 4.
