North Adams: Journalist Howard Kurtz to give lecture at MCLA
Howard Kurtz, the Washington bureau chief of Newsweek and The Daily Beast, is the next speaker in the Hardman Lecture series at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams.
The lecture, made possible through the generosity of the Hardman Family Endowment, is free and open to the public. It will be in the MCLA Church Street Center’s Eleanor Furst Roberts Auditorium on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m.
Kurtz also hosts CNN’s "Reliable Sources," which explores the standards, performance and biases of the media.
Kurtz is the author of five books, including "Reality Show," a behind-the-scenes look at the network newscasts, and "Spin Cycle," his best-selling examination of the Clinton White House scandals. He also has written for Vanity Fair, Playboy and New York magazines.
