Local resident Amelia Wood will run 26.2 miles at the Key Bank City Marathon in Burlington, Vt., in May. Throughout the course of her training, she hopes to raise $1,000 for the Michael Grogan Scholarship at Berkshire Community College.

The scholarship honors the late Michael Grogan, a BCC Theater Arts alumnus. Each year a graduate from a Berkshire County high school entering BCC to pursue theater arts is chosen to receive this scholarship.

"Marathon for Mikey" will be hosting a spaghetti dinner and karaoke benefit from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at the Greylock Community Club.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $7 for seniors and children. Tickets are available for purchase at the Greylock Community Club and I Got Goodies in North Adams, Images Cinema in Williamstown, and at the door.

For more information or to donate online, visit www.facebook.com/marathonformikey.

Donations may also be sent directly to the Berkshire Community College Foundation, 1350 West St., Pittsfield, MA 01210 with "Michael Grogan Scholarship" in the memo line.
