North Adams: March for Life bus trip scheduled
The North Adams Chapter of Massachusetts Citizens for Life will sponsor its 35th bus trip to the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C., which takes place on Friday, Jan. 25.
This year’s march commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion on demand throughout all nine months of pregnancy.
The theme of this year’s march is "Pro-life: The Human Rights Issue of Today." Marchers will gather at the National Mall for the rally at noon, then march to the Supreme Court and Congress. Marchers also have time prior to the march to meet with their congressmen.
The bus will leave Adams at 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, with pickups in North Adams, Williamstown, Pittsfield, and Great Barrington. The group will return to the Berkshires early morning on Saturday, Jan. 26.
There are still some seats available, but reservations should be made as soon as possible. The cost is a $25 donation per person. To reserve a seat or for more information, call Robin Loughman, (413) 743-1329.
The chapter is also accepting donations toward the cost of the bus. Donations may be sent to 6 Bob’s Hill, Adams, MA 01220.
