North Adams: Mass MoCA to host artist talk with Darren Waterston

Artist Darren Waterston will speak about his eight-month residency at Mass MoCA and his work "Filthy Lucre," a reimagining of James McNeill Whistler’s "Harmony in Blue and Gold: The Peacock Room," at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, in Mass MoCA’s Club B-10.

Waterston will discuss his painting practice, as well as the research he undertook while planning his elaborate installation.

The artist will be on hand for a question session and drinks in The Chalet following the talk. Waterston will also be available to sign the book documenting "Filthy Lucre."

The event is free for members of Mass MoCA and The Mount and $7 for non-members.
