North Adams: MCLA to host Accepted Student Day
Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will hold the first of three Accepted Student Day events this year on Friday, Feb. 22, at the Church Street Center’s Eleanor Furst Roberts auditorium.
This event, for accepted students who will start MCLA in the fall, will include the opportunity to meet with students and staff, as well as faculty from their academic majors. Other highlights include a resource fair, parent and student panels, and tours of the campus.
Those in need of placement testing should meet in Murdock Hall room 218, at 9:30 a.m. for check in, with the testing to take place from 10 a.m. to noon.
Check in for the rest of the day’s activities will begin at noon in the MCLA Church Street Center, where accepted students will be welcomed by MCLA President Mary K. Grant, Mayor Richard Alcombright and other admissions staff.
Accepted students then will visit academic sessions in various classrooms with faculty, while parents attend an informational panel discussion.
A resource fair in the Campus Center Gym will feature information from a wide variety of student groups, faculty and campus offices. The day will conclude with tours of campus.
To register: (413) 662-5410.
