North Adams men held on bail amid string of arrests
NORTH ADAMS — Two city men are being held on bail after city police made several unrelated arrests Friday night.
Police said that 61-year-old Kenneth L. Rock of 312 Walnut St. is being held on $10,000 bail after being charged with two counts of assault and battery, one count of assault and battery on a police officer, one count of resisting arrest, one count of disturbing the peace and one count of disorderly conduct. No additional information was available at the time, police said. Rock is expected to be arraigned July 5 at Northern Berkshire District Court.
Louis Antonio Torres, 42, of 52 Chase Avenue, is being held on $5,000 bail after being charged with domestic assault and battery. He is expected to be arraigned in Northern Berkshire District Court on July 5.
Police arrested Keith R. Thomas, 31, of 440 East Main St. on a charge of possession of a Class E drug after responding to a report of a suspicious person in the East Quincy Street area. Class E drugs are identified as drugs containing substances including codeine and morphine. Thomas was released on his own recognizance pending Northern Berkshire District Court arraignment at a later date.
Joshua J. Brien, 34, of 44 George Avenue was released on personal recognizance after being charged with felony breaking and entering into a vehicle or boat in the nighttime and larceny of more than $250. He is expected to be arraigned on the charges at Northern Berkshire District Court at a later date.
