North Adams: Miles Corey to discuss fantasy novel

Long-time educator, artist and author Miles Corey will give a presentation on his fantasy novel, "The Keepers of Canataug," at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, in the main reading room of the North Adams Public Library. Light refreshments will be served.

Set in the Berkshires in some mythical past, the book incorporates many local Native myths and vaguely familiar place names.

Corey was honored as a "Teacher of the Year" by Emerson College and devoted much of his professional life to directing the Children's Art Center of Boston. He resides in North Adams.
