North Adams: Mill City sets performance dates for ‘The Good Doctor’

Mill City Productions will present "The Good Doctor" by Neil Simon and Anton Chekhov on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, March 14 to 23, at Mill City’s Theatre at Building 4N, next to the Visitor’s Center, in the Western Gateway Heritage State Park.

Performances will take place at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays.

The production is directed by Tara Johnson and features 11 Berkshire County actors.

The play is a composite of Anton Chekhov’s short stories, dramatized by Neil Simon. An unnamed writer (meant to represent Chekhov himself) suffers from writer’s block and his own artistic temperament, so he revisits some of his favorite characters and the stories they inhabit.

Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students/seniors. Tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased in advance by visiting
