North Adams: National Alliance on Mental Illness offers training course for parents, caregivers


National Alliance on Mental Illness Berkshire County is holding NAMI Basics training from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays, March 14, 21 and 28, at The Family Place, 61 Main St., Suite 208. All instruction and instruction materials are free to participants.

NAMI Basics is a program for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. The course is taught by trained teachers who are the parent or other caregivers of individuals who developed the symptoms of mental illness prior to the age of 13 years.

Childcare is available. Transportation is available to North County families. Families who require either must mention it when they register.
