North Adams: Public health clinics scheduled

The Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Northern Berkshire will offer several public health clinics in the region in December.

The clinics include blood pressure and blood sugar screening, medication reviews, heights and weights, and health teaching.

Public health clinics are offered Tuesdays, Dec. 4 and 18, and Thursdays, Dec. 6 and 20, from 3 to 4 p.m., at the VNA & Hospice's new headquarters, 99 Hospital Ave., on the campus of North Adams Regional Hospital.

Flu vaccine will be offered at the walk-in clinics.

In Adams, clinics will be held at Barrett House, Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 10 to 11 a.m.; Valley Street Apartments, Thursday, Dec. 13, from 10 to 11 a.m.; Millhouse Apartments, Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 10 to 11 a.m.; and at the new Adams Council on Aging facility, Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 10 to 11 a.m.

In North Adams -- Village East, Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; St. Joseph's Court, Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.; and the Spitzer Center, Tuesday, Dec. 18, from 9 to 11 a.m.
