North Adams: Puppets to be focus of illustrated talk

The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Visitors Museum at Western Gateway Heritage State Park will present an illustrated lecture, "Pulling Strings ... A Serious Puppet History," at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Puppets have existed in one form or another in nearly every culture throughout human history. This illustrated lecture will present an overview of puppetry and the roles they have played in societies around the globe.

Western Gateway Heritage State Park is south of the Hadley Overpass on Route 8. The Visitors Museum is in building #4. Information: (413) 663-6312.
