North Adams: Ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off Walking Loop

Mayor Richard Alcombright will officially kick off the North Adams Walking Loop with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, in front of Berkshire Emporium on Main Street. A community walk following the ribbon cutting will include a scavenger hunt and entertainment.

The loop will provide a marked route that includes Main Street, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Mass MoCA and other places of interest along the way. The loops will be marked by stencils of the North Berkshire Mass in Motion logo. Maps will be distributed during the kick-off and will be available at locations along the loop.

This event has been organized by the Northern Berkshire Community Coalition’s North Berkshire Mass in Motion, The Family Place and MCLA.
