Drury High School’s AP Literature and Composition class will be holding an event on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Desperados Fresh Mexican Grille, 23 Eagle St., to raise money for Boxes of Love, a local project to collect and send supplies to troops in Afghanistan.

A portion of the proceeds from lunch and dinner will be donated to Boxes of Love, an organization spearheaded by Patty Erdeski, mother of a Drury graduate currently serving in Afghanistan.

Boxes are shipped to soldiers currently serving in Afghanistan which include necessary supplies -- wet cloths, clothing, medical needs and non-perishable items.
