North Adams: 'Unsilent Night' sound sculpture to fill streets

Posted
"Unsilent Night" composer Phil Kline will lead a 45-minute mobile sound sculpture procession through city streets on Thursday, Dec. 7. Starting and ending near the upside down trees in Courtyard A at Mass MoCA, 1040 Mass MoCA Way, the walk will kickoff promptly at 6 p.m.

All are welcome to participate in this free event, bring a boom box or amplified sound device and join in the creation of a holiday soundscape.

Bright Ideas Brewing will serve as the pre-performance gathering space and will host a post-performance dance party beginning at 7 p.m. "Unsilent Night" will be broadcast in the Courtyard and inside Bright Ideas Brewing for the duration of the event.

A limited number of Kline's vintage boomboxes and tapes will be available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.
