North Adams woman hurt in 2-car crash on Route 8

CHESHIRE -- A 21-year-old North Adams woman suffered nonfatal injuries in a two-car accident on Route 8 Friday afternoon.

Elizabeth Tatro was transported to Berkshire Medical Center by Cheshire EMS after the crash, which occurred at 1:48 p.m at Whitney’s Farm Stand and Nobodys Road.

Tatro’s 2007 Mazda 3 sedan collided with a 2002 Ford F-150 truck operated by William O’Bryan of Lanesborough.

Massachusetts State Police, who took the lead at the scene, were investigating the cause of the accident Friday night. Cheshire police, fire and EMS as well as Lanesborough Police responded to the accident.

Traffic was detoured via Old State and Farnams roads until the vehicles were towed from the scene just before 3 p.m.
