Northbridge couple dies in Maine car crash
WALDOBORO, Maine (AP) - Police in Maine have identified the Massachusetts couple who died in a car crash in Waldoboro last week.
Police on Monday said 68-year-old Raymond Thompson and 70-year-old Peggy Aldrich died in a head-on crash on Atlantic Highway on Friday afternoon.
The couple lived in the Whitinsville section of Northbridge, Massachusetts.
Investigators say they were headed north when they were struck by a southbound car driven by a 63-year-old Waldoboro man that crossed the center line. The driver of that car was hospitalized.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
