NY police: Mass. driver's blood alcohol content more than four times the legal limit


FISHKILL, N.Y. -- A Western Massachusetts driver's blood alcohol content was more than four times the legal limit when he was arrested and charged with drunken driving, New York authorities said.

Timothy J. Anderson, 53, of Chicopee, Mass., was scheduled to be arraigned today in Fishkill Court on a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, according to a news statement from the New York State Police.

Police said Anderson blew a breath sample of .35, or more than four times the legal limit of .08.

State Police from the Wappinger, N.Y., barracks arrested Anderson in Fishkill at 1:06 p.m. on Friday. Fishkill is about 90 miles south of Albany.
