N.Y. show gets local preview at Colonial Theatre

PITTSFIELD -- "FOUND," a new musical based on Davy Rothbart’s popular "Found" books, magazines, tours and appearances on "This Ameri can Life" will be at the Colo nial Theatre for two pre-Broadway workshop performances Friday and Satur day evening at 8.

There will be a special pre-show party and reception Saturday evening at 7 at the Colonial with book writer and actor Hunter Bell, BTG alum nus Randy Harrison from "Queer as Folk" and "Silence! The Musical," as well as "FOUND" cast member and cabaret and comedy star Shaina Taub, and Broad way performers Natalie Joy John son and Marty Thomas.

"FOUND" features Bell, composer/lyricist Eli Bolin, director Lee Overtree, and the Story Pirates troupe in a semi-autobiographical account of Davy’s life and loves as he performs around the country, set against a backdrop of the hilarious real notes and letters from the pages of Found magazine, as they come to life on stage.
