Officials: Cape Cod college classes canceled due to threat

WEST BARNSTABLE, MASS. >> Officials say that classes at a Cape Cod college have been canceled due to a bomb threat that was made to the campus.

Cape Cod Community College communications director Michael Gross says college security officers received the threat Sunday. Officials have decided to close the West Barnstable campus tentatively until 12 p.m. Monday.

Gross says the college's Hyannis Center will remain open.

State police spokesman David Procopio says the bomb squad, K-9 units and other authorities will begin searching the campus at sunrise.
