OUI charge is Lee man's 3rd
GREAT BARRINGTON -- A Lee motorist arrested for driving drunk early Sunday morning is due in Southern Berkshire District Court for a pre-trial hearing on June 4 following his arraignment on Monday.
Paul F. Abderhalden, 49, of East Street, Lee, was charged with operating under the influence, third offense, after Lee Police pulled him over just north of the town in Lenox Dale for erratic operation on Route 7 and 20 and on Walker Street.
He was arrested, processed at the State Police headquarters in Lee and held overnight in the Lenox lockup until he posted $500 bail at mid-morning Sunday.
According to state law, a third-offense OUI felony conviction would require a six-month to five-year sentence to state prison, a fine of $1,000 to $15,000, and license suspension for eight years.
