Our past cruelty being revisited

I’m writing about the article you had in Sunday’s paper on how mink (and I suppose other fur) "farmers" are doing a brisk business now, after years of slumping sales. Looks like our country finally got the message that fur is cruelly produced and consequently it has now become about as popular as smoking in public. Good for us!

Unfortunately the South Koreans and now the Chinese are emulating our long ago badges of wealth by taking up the slack. Thus is the extreme sadistic cruelty of our past being visited upon generation after generation of poor minks and other fur-bearing creatures. If only the fur farmers had a conscience! How very sad.
