Pay our teachers what they deserve

Sunday November 18, 2012

In response to Denise Marshall’s Nov. 13 letter "Teachers holding Pittsfield back," the answer is simple. Pay teachers what they deserve and there will be no need for unions.

The solution is right in front us. It’s called, balance. CEOs, lawyers, doctors, athletes are all making enormous salaries while our teachers are not. Our president has stated over and over that the people with all the money have got to kick in, and especially for our teachers. As a teacher would say -- problem solved.
