UK magazine apologizes to actress over edited hair

British magazine Grazia U.K. has apologized to Lupita Nyong'o after the actress accused it of altering her hair on its front cover "to fit a more Eurocentric notion" of beauty.

The Academy Award winner tweeted before-and-after images, saying the magazine "edited out and smoothed" her hair. She added the hashtag "dtmh (don't touch my hair)."

The magazine said that it "apologized unreservedly to Lupita Nyong'o." It said it had not altered the images itself or asked the photographer to do so, and "is committed to representing diversity throughout its pages."



Las Vegas hotel-casino bars O.J.

O.J. Simpson's attorney says the former football star has been banned from The Cosmopolitan hotel-casino in Las Vegas.

Attorney Malcolm LaVergne told The Associated Press that Simpson received a trespass notice from the hotel. Wednesday.

LaVergne says Simpson was not given a reason for the ban. He says Simpson contacted his parole officer Thursday and underwent drug and alcohol tests, which were negative.

The hotel in a statement says it does not comment on it guests.

Simpson was paroled from a Nevada prison last month after serving nine years for armed robbery and assault with a weapon.



Bride No. 5 for British actor

Gary Oldman is married for the fifth time.

The 59-year-old British actor married art curator Gisele Schmidt in late August at the Beverly Hills, California home of his friend and manager Doug Urbanksi. Oldman confirmed his marriage in an interview, saying he'd done it "quietly."

Urbanksi said Oldman had known Schmidt for four or five years and the wedding included several dozen friends.

Oldman, known for the "Harry Potter" and "Dark Knight" franchises, is currently promoting his role as British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in director Joe Wright's "Darkest Hour."
