Peru: Church hosting Mountain Market craft event


Peru Congregational Church's annual Mountain Market craft event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Community Center, 3 East Main Road, Route 143. The market has been held for more than 60 years.

The Cross-Talk Praise Band will present uplifting and inspirational music from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. A pancake breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday.

A homemade baked bean supper will be served on Friday with homemade beef stew at noon Saturday. Cabot Cheese will be sold from the original Vermont wheel along with Peru maple syrup and honey.

Some table space is still available for vendors. All handmade products and produce are welcome. Commercial merchandise is acceptable. Call 413-655-2613 for information.

The snack bar will be open both days. Admission is free and the building is handicap accessible.
