Pittsfield: After school programs offered to district students

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers program of the Pittsfield Public Schools announces free after school programs for district students.

P.A.S.S., the Positive After School Support program, runs from Monday, Jan. 7, to Thursday, March 21, at Pittsfield High School.

From 2:30 to 3:15 p.m., students will have the opportunity to receive after school academic support staffed by three PHS teachers. Students can also access the school computer lab for Internet-based assignments or digital projects and essays.

From 3:15 to 4:45 p.m., students will be involved in a focused activity of their choice such as IS183 -- Luminosity, bowling, Pathfinders/chess, martial arts, break dancing, and TV science.

Registration forms are available in the guidance office. Space is limited.
