Pittsfield: Annual Firemen’s Ball slated April 20

The 98th annual Firemen’s Ball will be held Saturday, April 20, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beer and wine will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Menu choices include stuffed filet of sole, chicken cordon bleu or petite sirloin steak.

The entertainment and music will be hosted by Bob Heck Entertainment starting at 8 p.m. The dancing portion of the evening is free and open to the public.

There will be a balloon drop with gift certificates and door prizes. There is no charge for the drawings but winners must be present.

Dress is department dress uniform or semi-formal.

The Crowne Plaza will offer a special room rate of $99 which includes breakfast, early check-in and late check-out.

RSVP no later than April 10 to Pittsfield Fire Department Headquarters, Attention: The Pittsfield Permanent Firemen’s Benefit Association, 74 Columbus Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201. Include the meal choice and payment ($80 per couple or $40 single), with checks payable to The Pittsfield Permanent Firemen’s Benefit Association.
