Pittsfield: Arbor Day, ribbon cutting planned at Wild Acres


The Pittsfield Department of Community Development Parks and Recreation Program will host an Arbor Day and ribbon cutting celebration at noon Friday, April 25, at Wild Acres on South Mountain Road.

Bill Lattrell, a professional wetland scientist and restoration ecologist, will serve as the keynote speaker. Following the ceremony, there will be an opportunity to take a guided hike through the park.

This free event is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Program and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. The celebration will take place rain or shine. Light refreshments will be provided.
