Pittsfield: Athenaeum to host Valentine cabaret

Thursday February 7, 2013

The Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum invite the public to "Relatively Speaking -- A Valentine Cabaret" featuring Sherri James Buxton at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave.

An instructor at the Berkshire Music School where she conducts Adult Cabaret Workshops, Buxton has also appeared in New York City and Chicago with Freddie Prince and Jackie Mason.

Accompanied by Bob Shepherd on piano and Otto Gardner on bass, Buxton will set the mood for Valentine’s Day with her interpretations of standards, show tunes and jazz.

The Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum, entering their 75th year of service to the library, are sponsoring the free concert.
