Posted

Berkshire Community College Foundation's 15th annual Not Your Average Dog Show is slated for Sunday, Feb. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at BCC's Paterson Field House, 1350 West St.

The event, which is open to all dogs (not just purebreds), will feature family-oriented activities. Admission is free. Donations to the institution's Annual Fund are appreciated.

Dogs participating in the show must be registered to compete. Each dog may be entered in two categories. Category judging will begin at noon.

Pre-registration has closed, but day-of registrations are welcome. Registration is $20 at the door. Registering a second dog in the same family costs $10.

State Rep. William Smitty Pignatelli will emcee the show and Gene Dellea, president of the BCC Foundation, will serve as ringmaster.

In the event that BCC is closed due to inclement weather, the event will be canceled and not rescheduled. Visit www.berkshirecc.edu or BCC's Facebook page for weather/closing messages.

Dogs must have an up-to-date rabies vaccination and must be leashed at all times. All female dogs in season should not participate. Handlers of spectator dogs must agree to event rules.
