Pittsfield: BCC professor to speak about snakes


Tom Tyning will present "Snakes: Biology, Conservation and Stories," at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave. The free program is suitable for the whole family.

Tyning has been an associate professor of Environmental Science at Berkshire Community College since 1999, is the managing editor of the Scientific Journal: Herptological Review, and has written the "Guide to Amphibians and Reptiles" for the Stokes Nature Guide.
