Pittsfield: Bella Gorin to mark 100th birthday

Bella Gorin, a resident of Epoch Assisted Living on Melbourne Road, will turn 100 years old on Friday, Sept. 28.

Gorin grew up in New York City and spent most of her life on Long Island. She and her husband of nearly 60 years had a successful butcher store there. She moved to the Berkshires in 2000.

Gorin is the mother of Dr. Malcolm Gorin of Haddam, Conn., and Phyllis Epstein of Monterey. She also has six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A party celebrating her birthday will take place Sunday, Sept. 30, at her daughter’s home. Well wishes can be sent in care of Phyllis Epstein, 141 Stevens Lake Way, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
